From Orlando it’s roughly 390 miles to Key West; from Jacksonville, about 500. That’s down the Turnpike or I-95, through Miami, and onto the 113 miles of the Overseas Highway — a long day behind the wheel, and a lot of wear on a car you want in good shape when you arrive.
